Letter from the Editor: I'm Seeing Stars

Letter from the Editor: I'm Seeing Stars
Last year, we launched a rating and review system for our article and eLearning libraries. With little fanfare, the system has begun to take root. As more and more of you leave comments and ratings, data builds, and the system becomes more useful. Sometimes the comments are an interesting read in themselves. I see some being used in forum-like fashion, with discussions taking place.

Ratings have made our catalogs much more interactive. Now you can view the average number of stars given to a piece of content. For example, you can sort all articles on ERP by highest-to-lowest ratings. Use stars to help browse the Business Intelligence eLearning catalog and you will easily discover gems like a 5-star webinar series by Ingo Hilgefort beginning with an Introduction to SAP BusinessObjects BI Solution Architecture.

Most importantly, get into the habit of leaving your own ratings on content that you read and use. Be specific about what you like and don't like. Write short, honest, and fair reviews that will help other members find the best content.

Sincerely,

Keith Elliott
SCN Editor-in-Chief
